Nova Geodesia is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles, critical reviews, and scientific communications in the fields of geodesy, geospatial technologies, environmental sciences, geography, and applied socio-technical disciplines. Founded by academics from Romanian universities, the journal was created to address the lack of specialized scientific platforms in geodesy and related areas across Romania, Southeast Europe, and the Balkans. Its mission is to support disciplinary development and promote international scientific exchange by offering a fully open and visible platform for both established and early-career researchers. Nova Geodesia welcomes interdisciplinary contributions in areas including geodesy, cartography, GIS, remote sensing, infrastructure projects, hydrography, earth observation, environmental planning, physical and human geography, landscape science, ecology, agriculture, forestry, land use, and socio-spatial studies. The journal is supported by an international editorial board and upholds high standards of peer review, transparency, and editorial ethics. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), in compliance with the DOAJ definition of open access. Authors retain full copyright. The source may be cited as Nova Geodesia or Nova Geod.
